hello sir dats my sis's CT scan report shez having severe pain in stomach from last 2-3 days
we consulted some doctor in a govt. hospital and we were told for immediate surgery.so wats the beneficial in this regard.

Report:-
stomach is distended.the duodenum is prominent.whirlpool pattern is seen with swirling of the proximal jejunal loop,mesentery and vessels around the SMA axis.the caecum is in right iliac fossa.the whirlpool appearence is continuing inferiorly involving the ascending colon and the heptic flexure region,suggestive of volvulus .the orientation of SMA and SMV is altered with SMV on the left of SMA.
liver is normal in size ,shape,attenuation and enhancement.portal vein and IHBR are normal
gallbladder is distended.wall thickness is normal.(to be correlated with USG findings).
spleen is normal in size,shape,attenuation and enhancement.
pancreas shows normal homogeneous attenuation and enhancement.pancreatic duct is not dilated .
both kidneys are normal in site,size,shape and outline with homogeneous attenuation.
no evidence of hydronephrosis is seen
bilateral adrenals are normal in size and attenuation.
urinary bladder is normally distended.
no pre or para aortic lymphadenopathy or ascites.
major vessels show normal enhancement.
Impression:- CT findings are suggestive of:
malrotation of gut with midgut volvulus(duodeno-jejunal area) which is also involving the ascending colon/hepatic flexure region inferiorly.}}}}
